Autodesk 2022 installer.exe switches | How to silent install Autodesk packages using the New Installation Experience (ODIS)
How to deploy silently Autodesk packages such as, but not limited to:
- Language packs
- Updates
- Library packs
- Content packs
- Object enablers
Causes:
From 2022, most Autodesk products use the New Installation Experience aka “ODIS”.
Language packs, updates, additional content, library packs, etc… also use the New Installation Experience but they do not show up in the “Custom Install” list in the Autodesk Account.
Solution:
To silent install and Autodesk package, you can add the -q argument to your script/install command.
Alternatively,
- Extract the *.exe file with a zip manager (e.g. 7Zip), to a specific location.
- Start the Setup.exe with –silent to run the installation silently, as below:
Setup.exe --silent
