Who can access Autodesk products for free for educational purposes?

Access to the Autodesk training plan expires at the end of one year. You can renew your access annually as long as you are eligible.
Thirty days before your one-year Education plan access expires, you will receive a reminder email. You can also find your expiration date in the personalized banner notification when you sign in to your account on the Autodesk Education Community website.
If you don’t renew your access, your free access will expire when your Education plan expires. If you have files stored in Drive, you can still access them, but you cannot edit them or upload new files. This is a very important detail.
Note: Documents stored in the Autodesk cloud service remain available for 30 days after your Education plan access expires. You need to ensure that you receive all files stored in the Autodesk cloud service before the expiry of this period.
How to renew access?
- Make sure you’re still eligible for educational access by reviewing who’s eligible.
- On the Get Products page, sign in to your account.
- Click Refresh Now on the personalized banner notification.
- Once you confirm your eligibility, your access will be automatically extended for another year.
How to renew subscription?
After completing the steps below, a new one-year subscription will be assigned to your account.
- Go to the Get Products page.
- Click Get Started and sign in.
- Scroll to your product card.
- Click Get Product.
- Click Install/Download.
Note: Even if your product is already installed, you must click Install/Download to create a new subscription (You can cancel the download if you don’t need it).
How to restart access?
If your access has expired and you are still eligible, you can restart your education access.
- On the Get Products page, sign in to your account.
- Click Restart Access on the personalized banner notification.
- Once you confirm your eligibility , your access will be automatically extended for another year.
After renewing access or restarting, you do not need to download a new version of your installed software if you do not want the latest version.
